Rules/Procedure
I’ve been in and seen how many of these types of leagues fail, so I think it’s important we have a good set of rules and procedure so everyone knows how and why everything happens.
Break it down………….
1. Discipline System
We’ll start with this nasty one so it’d be easier to know what happens if a player or team breaks the upcoming and applicable rules. There’ll be a three warning system for each player and each time the player gets warned it’ll be a yellow card. Each yellow card will mean a financial penalty for the team, so if a player is warned he may lose favor with the manager and lessen his playing experience and the team will have less money to spend on players. 3 yellow cards will equal a red, at this point other players will vote to sack, suspend or forgive.
Point deductions in leagues may take place in the event of harsh misconduct by the team as a whole
Sound fair.
Ok so that’s out there we can deal with more interesting stuff.
2. Positions
This is something that will happen early on and I can say, most people will be able to play their preferred positions. But at the same time, if there are not enough players who want to be defenders, each player will be given an additional defensive position which they can then rotate so that everyone gets to play their favorite position, most of the time.
So for example you may be a striker but on every third game you must do your duty as a back.
This will be the responsibility of the managers captains and vice captains to make sure that this happens.
3. Squad Selection
Having at least 20 in a squad means that matches will be easier to arrange, but if there are more than 10 who want to play a match, those who are not selected that time, automatically get selected for the next game. This way everyone will get to play.
This will be the responsibility of the managers captains and vice captains to make sure that this happens.
4. Match Results
Results must be posted by the manager, captain or vice captain, stating the score and the goal scorers. Each individual player might like to post his match rating, which would aid in transfer.
Disputed results must be settled with a photograph. But to be safe, it would be wise always to photograph your results.
5. Transfers
Any player at anytime can declare himself available for transfer, the manager may beg him to stay, but if he does not, then the manager must set a value, the price must be at maximum, affordable to the two wealthiest teams. There’s no point in trying to keep your player by asking for 90 billion. Clever, but, no.
The manager may also nominate a player for transfer.
Offers can then be made and the winning team will then get that player and the accounts shall change to reflect the transaction. There is a frequency limit of transfers of 2 per match
6. Loans
If for any good reason a team cannot make up a full 10 before an already arranged match the manager of that team may request a loan from another team for one of their players just for that match. An arrangement may be made, but if not that team may have to forfeit, or penalties for using an A.I.
7. Team Management
Each squad will have their own space in which to run their team as they see fit, but with three or more requests from members of a team, Managers, Captains, Vice-Captains and Coaches can be put to the vote if the rest of the team is unhappy with the way they do business. Then that team will be allowed to vote to keep or change that member of staff.
8. Stats
There will be a database of each individual player stating their team, goals scored, match ratings, position, if he is available for transfer and at what price.
The teams will have a similar record but including money and recent transactions
9. First Matches
When at least two teams are operational friendly matches will be arranged.
It will be up to the managers, captains and vice captains to sort their respective teams out both here and over xbox live and to keep in contact with the managers etc of the other teams. It’ll be much easier to arrange this way.
10. What Teams?
A vote will take place soon on what teams everyone wants to start with. Then we’ll see who everyone will want to play for and sort the squads out. The starting team isn’t permanent and a squad with enough cash can buy a better team. This is why the top top teams will not be available when we first begin.
Well that’s about it for now, it’ll look a lot simpler when the relevant sections are in place and hopefully this system will be slick and sound enough to work very well. I hope you find this fair and please post your suggestions.
Thanks
