The Fine Fine Details
OK.
So we'll start at the beginning.
This forum will be the hub from which Fifa 09 for the Xbox 360 can be played with much greater depth.
For the first time this year Fifa fans will get the chance to play in huge 10 v 10 matches, playing only one position in a squad full of their comrades . Now we know how tough it was to get a decent game of 5 v 5 on '08, so we'd better get organized if we are to make the most of this new feature.
Break it down.................................
1. Team Formation
To aim rather small firstly, players who join will be split into four squads of 20 where positions and additional roles shall be arranged, like managers, coaches etc.... All player managers and player coaches obviously. Each team will have a private part of the forum to manage and sort they team out by themselves Simple.
2. The Role Of The Manager
After selecting the other three team's managers, done by votes.(yes I already did a Mugabe).
Each manager will get a budget of 10 million to spend in an always open transfer window to buy and trade players from other teams, starting from after the first matches. The manager also has a joint say in team selection for a match.
3. The Role Of The Captain
Again an elected individual, in co-operation with the manager, responsible for team selection before the match.
It is also up to the captain to nominate the coaches of the team and who should be coached and when.
Coaching methods are entirely up to the coaches, if they think they can teach better just by playing a 1v1 with the trainee, then fine. The captain can nominate himself as a coach
4. The Vice Captain
Would stand in for the captain if unavailable for any reason and carry out team selection and tactics duties.
Also should take an active role in the coaching element.
5. The Coaches
Selected by the captain, the coaches will be players with a good amount of skill and will be there to help less skilled players learn or a trick or two.
6. The Rest Of The Team
The players with no additional roles other than playing, have no less of a say, they can vote in many aspects of their team management and even express no confidence in their assigned leaders. Any player can make themselves available for transfer Again, all procedural stuff like this is going to be covered in rules.
7. Matches
To get everything running nicely, rounds of friendlies will be arranged and played.
The transfer window will open, and then the various competitive matches will start.
Prizes will include money for the team to spend on players..
8. Team and Player Statistics
Things like money and individual statistics like goals scored will all be kept, to keep things running smoothly and to aid in transfer.
Right that's the basics.
For information on how it'll all work.
Consult the upcoming rules section.
